Elizabeth's inspiration comes mainly from the landscape of the Lake District, where she lives, and the Hebrides, her preferred holiday destination.

She has worked with a variety of media, including her own photos but recently she has come to use mainly paper as a basis for her work incorporating various printing techniques as well as stitch.

Elizabeth enjoys experimenting with different book structures and is particularly fascinated by intricate folded structures which can take on sculptural forms.

Her current work is done using her own prints which have been inspired by the wildflowers of the Machair. She still uses recycled maps and text as a basis for commissioned work.

You can see more of her work on her own website
